I moved to London ~6 months ago to start a PhD at the Francis Crick Institute and King’s College London with the Sadeh Lab and Marin Lab, exploring learning algorithms by drawing inspiration from how cortical networks of neurons in brain might structure themselves and communicate to be able to adapt and generalise to learn many different things.
- put more technically, I’m looking at the functional role of subtypes of cortical interneurons (mainly in mice and humans), particularly somatostatin+ (SST) interneurons and dendritic computations, in multitask/continual learning
check out what books I’m currently reading or listen to some DJ sets I’ve recorded while bedroom DJing. I’ve been spending a bunch of my time experimentally making electronic music and building workflows for live visuals, and wish to share more about that stuff soon.
Since moving to London I’ve been enjoying watching movies at independent cinemas, going to bio/neuro/AI seminars & electronica and techno gigs.
